Standing Against Human Trafficking Together

At G6 Hospitality, we believe that every guest should feel safe, respected, and protected. As the company behind Motel 6 and Studio 6, we welcome millions of travelers each year. With that reach comes a responsibility we take seriously. One of the most urgent issues our industry faces is human trafficking. It’s a crime that often goes unnoticed, yet it affects countless lives every day.

The Problem We Face

Human trafficking isn’t just something that happens in faraway places. It’s happening right here, in communities across North America.
This is why G6 Hospitality is committed to being part of the solution.

Global Impact

More than 27 million people around the world are believed to be victims of trafficking today.

All Around Us

Hotels and motels are among the most frequently identified locations connected to reported trafficking cases.

Not Always Obvious

Many victims are hidden in plain sight, with few ways to ask for help.

Our Response

We were among the first in the hotel industry to require anti-trafficking training at all of our properties. To build something meaningful, we partnered with experts, survivor advocates, and law enforcement professionals. Together, we developed The Room Next Door, a training program that gives hotel staff the tools they need to:

 • Spot the signs of human trafficking
 • Respond in a way that’s safe and respectful
 • Work with law enforcement and local resources
 • Help create a safer environment for everyone

Our Impact So Far

Since 2019, we’ve made real progress. Some of the steps we’ve taken include:
 • Training thousands of team members across the country • Collaborating with groups like PACT, Polaris, New Friends New Life, NCMEC, and the Multiple State Attorneys General Offices • Supporting new laws that require human trafficking training for hotel workers • Sharing what we’ve learned with others in the industry who want to make a difference
